The Right Order for Your Body Care Routine, From Head to Toe
July, 16th 2026
If you've ever stood in your bathroom holding three different creams and wondered which one goes first, you're not alone. It's one of the most common questions our Customer Experience team hears: "In what order do I actually use all of this?"
Here's the good news. The answer isn't complicated, and it doesn't require using more product. The secret is using what you already have in the right order, so every step sets up the next one. When your routine is sequenced well, each product can do its job better, and you'll actually see the difference.
In this guide, we'll walk through the full head-to-toe routine, explain why the order matters, and share a few tips to help you get the most out of every application.
Why Order Matters More Than You Think
Think of your body care routine like building a house. You wouldn't paint the walls before laying the foundation. Skin care works the same way.
Dry, dull-looking skin on the surface can act like a barrier, keeping your creams from absorbing as deeply as they could. That's why exfoliation always comes first. Once that layer of buildup is buffed away, everything you apply afterward has a clearer path.
From there, the routine moves top to bottom, which makes it easy to remember and hard to skip a spot. Neck, arms, belly, then butt and thighs. Five zones, five minutes, done.
Step 1: Exfoliate with Refine & Renew Body Scrub
Start in the shower. Squeeze your desired amount of Refine & Renew Body Scrub onto wet skin and massage in circular motions, then rinse.
This step buffs away dry, dull-looking skin so your other products can absorb more deeply. It's the foundation of the entire routine, and skipping it means every step that follows works a little harder for a little less payoff.
How often: 2 to 3 times a week is the sweet spot. Exfoliating daily isn't necessary, and your skin will thank you for the balance.
Pro tip: Use lukewarm water rather than hot. Very hot showers can leave skin feeling drier, which works against everything you're about to apply.
Step 2: Lift the Look of Your Neck with Tighten & Lift Neck Cream
Once you're out of the shower and your skin is dry, start at the top. Apply a nickel-sized amount of Tighten & Lift Neck Cream to your neck and décolleté using upward motions.
Those upward strokes matter. They're a small habit that reinforces the lifted, firmer look you're working toward, and they turn application into a mini massage moment.
And here's the part almost everyone misses: the back of your neck. It's out of sight, so it's out of mind, but it shows the same signs of crepey-looking skin over time as the front. Make it part of the habit from day one.
How often: Twice daily, morning and night.
Step 3: Sculpt Your Arms with Sculpt & Tone Arm Cream
Next, move to your upper arms. Apply two quarter-sized amounts of Sculpt & Tone Arm Cream, one for each arm, and massage in circular motions until fully absorbed.
This cream targets the look of loose, sagging skin for a visibly firmer, more sculpted appearance. Upper arms are one of the first places people notice a change, partly because we see them so often in the mirror, so this step tends to become a favorite fast.
Pro tip: Don't stop at the front of the arm. Work the cream around the full circumference, including the underside where skin can look the most crepey.
Step 4: Smooth Your Midsection with Tighten & Smooth Belly Cream
Apply 1 to 3 pumps of Tighten & Smooth Belly Cream to the front and sides of your belly, then massage in until fully absorbed.
This formula is designed to visibly sculpt the look of loose skin and fade the appearance of stretch marks. The sides are just as important as the front, so sweep the product all the way around your waistline rather than focusing on one spot.
Pro tip: Application is easiest right after your shower routine, when applying cream is already part of the flow. Attaching this step to an existing habit is the single best way to stay consistent.
Step 5: Firm from Knees to Hips with Firming Butt & Thigh Cream
Finish with the largest zone. Apply two quarter-sized amounts of Firming Butt & Thigh Cream, working from your knees up to your hips.
The most commonly skipped spot? The backs of your thighs. You don't see them every day, but they benefit from the same care as everywhere else. This cream improves the look of dimpled, crepey skin, and full coverage is what delivers the most even, consistent results.
The Golden Rule: Consistency Beats Intensity
If you take one thing away from this guide, let it be this: consistency beats intensity, every time.
Five minutes most days will take you further than a long, elaborate routine you only do when you remember. Skin responds to repetition. Apply your body creams twice daily, keep your scrub in the shower where you'll see it, and let the routine become as automatic as brushing your teeth.
You don't need more products. You don't need more time. You just need the right order, done regularly.
